to benefit Hattiesburg Arts Concil's smART space.
Tickets for the event include a night of Cuban-inspired food and drink, live
music and dancing, and a silent auction.
Individual tickets are $40 & Couple's tickets are $70

Each year, the Leadership Pinebelt’s class of 20 is split into three groups challenged with creating a project
that has a positive impact on the city of Hattiesburg. HAC smART Space is honored and excited to have
been selected for this program because we know first-hand the transformative impact that arts-based
education has on our children, our community, and our city.

Announces the 2016-2017 Winners
Of the Open Studio on Front
HAC is exited to announce the artists chosen to participate in the Open Studio on Front program.
These artists will receive studio space for seven weeks at a time, and are encouraged to hold open
studio hours and events for the community to meet the artist and purchase their work. Our 1000
square foot window-front studio and exhibition space is located at 207 East Front Street, Suite #103,
Hattiesburs, MS 39401 (Downtown in the lowest floor of the America Building.
The line-up for the artists, in the order of dates assigned is as follows:
August 6 - September 24
October 1 - November 1918 - June 24

The HAC Ope in Studio on Front project is an annual collaboration with the Hattiesburg Arts Council,
HistoricHattiesburg Downtown Association, and Hub City Lofts. Applications are accepted starting in
April and reviewed by committee before the schedule is finalized

Supply the Art Materials Drive!
Starting today: July 26th & August 1st, or August 2nd
Local high school student Cade Slaughter has partnered with the Hattiesburg Arts Council to help bring art materials to
classrooms around the city!
Please help support his program, Supply the Art, by donating art materials including, but not limited to:
• markers/ colored pencils/ pens/ crayons
• glue/ kid friendly scissors
• construction paper/ collage materials
• drawing paper/ news print
• classroom project materials
• et cetera
Material donations will be accepted at the HAC Open Studio on Front Street

Cade will also be accepting tax-deductible donations to help purchase supplies. Please make checks payable to the Hattiesburg
